Wisertrack Pte. Ltd. ("Wisertrack," "we," "us," or "our") provides a time-tracking and project-profitability platform available through our website and our web and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use and safeguard it, and the choices and rights available to you. For questions, or to exercise any right described below, contact info@wisertrack.com.
When you use the Service as part of your work, your employer or the organisation that set up the account (your "organisation") determines why and how time-tracking data about you is collected — for example, deciding which team members can see which data, and whether optional features like location capture are turned on. Wisertrack processes that data on the organisation's behalf and according to its instructions, configured through the Service itself.
Wisertrack is directly responsible for account-registration data, billing data, marketing-site visitor data, and platform-level security data, regardless of which organisation you belong to.
If you're an individual user with a question about how your specific organisation is using your data, we'd suggest starting with your organisation's administrator — they're best placed to answer, and can involve us if needed. Organisations that need a formal data-processing arrangement in place with us (for example, to satisfy their own compliance obligations) can request one by writing to info@wisertrack.com.
Wisertrack is built as a trust-first, anti-surveillance platform. This is a fixed product principle, not a configurable setting. Regardless of role, plan, or organisation configuration, Wisertrack does not:
Everything Wisertrack records about your work is based on time voluntarily entered by you or a colleague — timer sessions, manual entries, and the project or task context attached to them. Nothing about your work pattern is inferred without your knowledge, and location — where used at all — is only ever captured at a specific, active, permitted moment (see Section 3.4), never continuously.
Name, email address, a securely hashed password (we never store or have access to it in plain text), profile photo (optional), job title/role, and, if you sign in via a third-party identity provider, the identifiers that provider shares with us to authenticate you.
The organisation and workspace(s) you belong to, your assigned role, team assignments, and project/client associations relevant to your work.
Time entries (start/end times, duration, associated project/task/client), timesheet submissions, approval history, and any notes you choose to add — all directly and voluntarily entered, never inferred.
Where an organisation enables location features for field or service-based work, and only after the individual user grants device-level permission, we may record location data tied to a specific, active time entry (for example, a clock-in/clock-out location). This is a deliberate design choice: we capture location only at that specific moment, never continuously or in the background, and never outside an active, permitted time entry. This permission can be declined by the individual, and organisation administrators can disable the feature entirely.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Dodo Payments, who acts as the merchant and seller of record for these transactions. Dodo Payments — not Wisertrack — handles card processing, applicable taxes, and invoicing, and by completing a purchase you separately accept Dodo Payments' own buyer-facing terms and privacy practices. We retain limited billing metadata (subscription tier, billing cycle, payment status, and Dodo Payments-assigned reference identifiers) but do not store your full card number or equivalent payment credentials.
IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, application version, and general diagnostic or crash information needed to keep the Service reliable and secure.
Messages sent to our support address, and records of that correspondence.
Our public website may use strictly necessary cookies required for basic site functionality. See Section 13.
Keystroke content, screen captures, camera/microphone data for monitoring purposes, browsing activity outside our own Service, or continuous/background location outside an active, permitted time-tracking context.
We use the data described above to: provide, operate, and maintain the Service; authenticate users and secure accounts; process subscription billing through our payment processor; send Service-related communications (most of which are configurable); respond to support requests; maintain records of data changes for security, accountability, and internal record-keeping; improve reliability and usability; and meet legal obligations that apply to us and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use time-tracking data to build advertising profiles or share it with data brokers.
We do not share data with advertising networks, and we do not permit any partner or integration to use Wisertrack data for individual-level monitoring or productivity scoring.
Your data may be processed in more than one location by our infrastructure providers and by Dodo Payments, depending on your organisation's configuration. Where personal data moves across borders, we use reasonable, industry-standard contractual and technical safeguards with our service providers to protect it in transit and at its destination.
We retain personal data for as long as an account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet accounting, record-keeping, and dispute-resolution needs.
Where we honour a deletion request, we use an anonymisation-based approach: personally identifying fields are irreversibly anonymised, while underlying records we're required to retain for accounting or security-audit purposes remain intact in anonymised form — preserving system and financial integrity without retaining identifiable personal data about the individual concerned.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights that include:
We use reasonable efforts to honour applicable rights requests within a reasonable timeframe. If your organisation is responsible for the data in question, we'd recommend contacting your organisation's administrator first; we support and, where appropriate, action requests routed to us directly at info@wisertrack.com.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to raise a concern with a relevant privacy regulator in your jurisdiction.
On employment-related data specifically: where an organisation uses Wisertrack to record its employees' or contractors' working time (and, optionally, point-in-time location during active entries), the organisation itself is responsible for having a valid basis for that tracking under the laws applicable to it, and for giving its people appropriate notice. We do not treat an individual's use of the Service, on its own, as sufficient by itself to justify tracking — that responsibility sits with the organisation configuring and deploying the Service, consistent with the controller/processor allocation described in Section 1.1.
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, restricted internal access controls, secrets management practices that keep credentials out of application code, role-based access enforcement, and logging of data changes. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, and we make no absolute warranty to that effect, but security is treated as a first-order design requirement.
Wisertrack is a workplace tool intended for business use by adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the age at which local law requires parental consent. If we become aware that we've inadvertently collected such data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
The Wisertrack mobile application may request the following device permissions:
| Permission | Purpose | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Location — foreground only | To attach location data to a time entry for field/service work, only while a time entry is actively running | Optional — organisation/user configurable |
| Camera/Photos | To set a profile picture | Optional |
| Notifications (push) | Timesheet reminders, approval decisions, and account/security alerts | Optional (configurable in-app) |
| Network/Internet | Core application functionality | Required |
We request only foreground/point-in-time location access and do not request background location permission at any point.
You can request an export of your personal data, or permanently delete your account, directly within the Service under Account Settings — Privacy & Data. Account deletion is subject to a short grace period during which it can be cancelled before it takes effect. You can also reach us at info@wisertrack.com for help with either request.
